This is a SHMUP (shoot 'em up) much like Ikaruga or Radiant Silvergun, some of the best SHMUPS ever made. Pilot your WWII era fighter plane against wave after wave of enemy bombers, mine layers and other fighter planes. Shoot them down with an arsenal of cool weapons like the spread shot and laser beam. Collect power ups, play with a friend and have a great time. It's great to see companies like Capcom releasing games on the 360 and on the Sony Playstation Network for the PS3. I played 1943 on the NES Nintendo right before recording this review so I was down with the 194x if you know what I mean. A maniac shooter from a past that doesn't exist. You can get Gamer Points too. Hooray. I think this is also on the Playstation Network and not sure if they'll use it for Home or not. Not sure if it is on VC Virtual Console on Wii either.
